Canon 50D lens for 360 pano recommendations

Hi All. I'm an IT Engineer (not a photographer) at a University and have been asked to put together an equipment wish list for shooting 360 degree panos. Here's the list of what I put together. Your experienced thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Canon D50 (with 28-135 mm Lens)
Sigma 8mm F3.5 EX DG Circular Fisheye Lens
Nodal Ninja 3 MKII with RD3L 6-8-10 Rotator/EZ-Leveler-II
PTGui
I still need to pick out a tripod

Hi jkondras,

Most would prefer the fisheye lens over the zoom lens. Far less photos taken, far less work. However, the 28-135 will give you amazingly large and detailed panoramics. Both are good choices, it just depends on how much work you want to put into your panoramic.
