Spherical with D700+14-24mm and D700+60mm f/2.8D

Hello all,

I'm planning to purchase Nodal Ninja 5 w/ RD16 Rotator.
Is it easy to create a full spherical panoramic image with the D700 + 14-24mm and D700 + 60mm f/2.8D? Any sample of that result will be highly appreciated.
I'm using currently semi pro system with fish eye converter, it's very easy to create spherical image with 2 shots back to back, but the quality is unacceptable.

You should be able to produce an excellent 10400x5200 equirectangular panorama using the 14-24mm @ 14mm. This is more than sufficient for a good fullscreen display in a spherical viewer. You would need 12 shots (2 rows of 6 + N + Z). It would not be so easy to make use of the 60mm lens. A full 360x180 would probably need around 140 shots, mostly with 24 images per row. You would end up with a maximum panorama size of 44000x22000, but why you would want such a big panorama I don't know (a 3.7m wide print?).

Thank you John for the useful information.
My client needs to create a full 360 interactive panoramic image from the middle of six floors hospital with high-end architectural interior design. He asked me to show the details as much as I can. And I think to use the 60mm just because the roof's detail is very far from the shooting center.
But 140 shots are impossible with the manual rotating system. I think I should keep with the same lens between the 14mm and the 24mm as maximum.
