I also shoot with a Nikon S900 flash on the D300 with the Sigma 10-20 mm lens with a Manfrotto quick release bracket so the entire contraption is very as in VERY heavy.
i have the older Ninja model for a Nikon D40 with 18-55 lens and its still a wee bit wobbly.
Are there any models comparable to the Manfrotto 303Plus which is one heck of a sturdy piece of gear? :001_cool:

Manfrotto 303 plus is a single row pano head which are more stable than a multi-row pano head due to its simple construction.
We don't recommend using a large flash on the camera in making multi-row pano. The flash at extended length generates a large torque on the pano head, making it less stable.
Since you want stable rig, you need to get NN5/L.
