Best lens for panoramics - Having problems with my lens

I have a Canon 1000d with 18-55mm kit and i have been doing some panos.
The lens i have for interior (bedrooms, wc, etc) is not so good, in fact I can't do any pano in perfect conditions.

I do not want to spend much money for a lens fot now, sigma 10-20mm or Tamron SP AF 10-24mm are good lens? Can eny one suggest another or some that does not go very far from € 500, 550€ at most fisheye included.

Are you using a Nodal Ninja head? If so which one?

For the lens I'd recommend to you the Sigma 8mm f/3.5 but you wont find a new one for 500 euros... The Tokina 10-17mm would come into your price range. You'll need 6 shots around plus one shot vertical and one or two shots down for a full 360 image.

The Sigma 10-20mm is a good lens but unless I'm wrong it's not 10mm on a DX sensor so you'll need to take a lot more shots with this lens for your camera. the Tokina will give you the least number of shots in your price range. The Sigma 8mm will let you take a full 360 with only 4 shots but Sigma recently put their prices up...

Tiago, See http://www.vrwave.com/ for details of how many shots are needed for various lenses. The Sigma 10-20mm would need 17 shots. The Tokina 10-17mm fisheye is a versatile lens and would be a good choice well within your price range.

Hi Tiago,

I use a Tokina 10-17 on a cropped sensor(1.6) Canon 350D with the Nodal Ninja NN3 MK II and it works a treat.
