I just received my NN5 and have set it up with the Quick Release System.

I am using a Nikon D700 with the Nikon 14-24 zoom.

My only comments so far are that I had to reverse the Quick Release Base in order to get clearance for the top shots. Using the Base the way it came, caused the release lever to hit the NN5 when attempting to point the camera up. Also, you can forget the case if you put the Quick Release on the NN5. It won't fit in the case.

Nice product

Actually you don't need exactly -90 deg shot. You can take a shot at -75 to -90 deg. It will cover the zenith. This way you can use the QR in normal orientation.
You need to remove the QR and place in in the empty slot of the case. We are working on a new case that will fit more combinations of products.
