is the Nodal Ninja 3 + MKII suitable to use with the 5d and 24 - 105 lens? the only lens I have at the moment but have a birthday soon :001_smile:

Hi Ben,
NN3 MKII will support up to about 7lbs (3kgs) so you are within the weight limitations. Not sure on the settings however - it may be a stretch if doing full 360x180 spherical panos, this lens will not allow for full tilt up. To shoot the zenith (up shot) with this lens you will either need to move the camera/lens forward on the upper rail to allow for full rotation or simply shoot manually (as most do). You could also shoot two rows - one row to catch the zenith (top) and one row to catch the nadir (floor). For many this is not a big deal.
NN5L does not have this limitation and may be a better choice for you.

For better performance, you should limit the loading to 1.5kg on NN3/NN3II. Get the NN5/NN5L for your gear.
