have someone experience with the Nodal Ninja 5 with the "old" Canon 1Ds - fullframe - and the Sigma 8mm?
Because the fullframe and the 180¬? of the Sigma I¬¥m interested if on the pictures you can see something from the NN5.
Or which lens would be perfect to create QTVR (360¬? x 180¬?) in compination with the 1Ds - without making too much pictures.
Thanks for any answer.

because sigma 8mm on fullframe has angle of view of 180 degree. Small portion of the upper rail will get into the picture. But it can be eliminated by taking 3 shots. Actually, you need 3 shots for best quality. Other than sigma 8mm, you can also use "shaved" Nikon 10.5mm and tokina 10-17mm fisheyes. Minimum shot is also 3 shots but you get higher resolution.

Thanks for this answer!
This means a shaved Nikon or Tokina fisheye lens is better than the Sigma.
But what is with the stiching programms? :confused1:
Normely the programms have information about lenses which are not "manipulated". And this lenses are not for fullframe sensors.
So my question - works that good without doing to much PC-work on the images etc. ?

As far as I hear of, the Tokina being a zoom fisheye is most versatile. You can take 3 shots when speed is needed. You can take 4 shots and 6 shots when more resolution is needed. However, it takes skills and courage to shave the lens hood. :-) Sometimes, I see people sell their shaved lens.
The most popular stitching program is PTGui. But it takes some time to master it.
