View Full Version : EOS30D and EOS500N + Sigma 12-24mm EX settings for NN5L
Mainly, what are the settings for my Canon 30D and Sigma 12-24mm?
How about on the EOS500N film SLR?
I just got all my stuff and used to do my stuff hand held and normal tripod, so am new to all this.
edit: All my other lenses I plan on using with this is an Adapted Olympus G.Zuiko 50mm f/1.4, E.Zuiko 135mm f/3.5, and Tamron Adaptall-1 M42 200mm f/3.5

Hi Ath,
Unfortunately we don't have the settings for this lens.
As we hear back from customers we post the findings here: http://nodalninja.com/nodal_ninja_3_camera_settings.html.
If you do not find your camera/lens on the list the manual teaches you how to find these settings:
http://nodalninja.com/nodal_ninja_user_manual.html.
It is highly encouraged you learn to do this as you are using so many different lenses. The process is easy once learned.
After you do finally learn the settings I hope you might share them with us so we can post them on the website.
Also the M42 200mm f/3.5 and Zuiko 135mm f/3.5 I believe are too long for NN3 - you might want to consider NN5L if needing to use these lenses.
Hope this helps.
Bill
the 135mm is quite a bit shorter than the 12-24mm physically, the 200mm slightly longer.
And I am using the NN5L, and also have the T30 adapter if i need it, cheers.
found this online "An example if the position of the entrance pupil is known:
Distance film/sensor plane to dome glass, Sigma 12-24mm @12mm, Canon mount:
required min. focusing distance = L(inf) + 4,4cm (flange focal length) + 7,43cm (bayonet to entrance pupil) + r (dome radius)

Okay I rang CR Kennedy (Sigma service point here in Australia)
They gave me the following data (film plane to points, for canon mount)
12mm focal:
First point 104.5mm
Rear point 12.4mm
24mm focal:
First point 94.2mm
Rear point 23.1mm
